About

Counselling, chaplaincy and resources for communities.

Spirit Led Counselling is the practice of Sharon Mackenzie — counsellor, chaplain and writer. It brings together three connected streams of work: one-to-one counselling, chaplaincy and spiritual formation, and the books, frameworks and practical resources published here on institutional hurt, safeguarding and the systems people live inside — for individuals, carers, chaplains, leaders and organisations.

Sharon Mackenzie

Sharon sits with people in the middle of grief, tangled relationships, faith wobbles and the long work of finding themselves again. Alongside that room, she works in chaplaincy and spiritual care — with schools, young people, correctional settings and the practitioners who hold space for everyone else.

Over time the questions that came up in that work kept outgrowing the hour. They turned into notes, then frameworks, then books. So Spirit Led Counselling also publishes practical resources for people and communities — on grief, belonging, institutional hurt, safeguarding, community health and human systems.

She writes about human behaviour, dignity and belonging with warmth and a slightly irreverent sense of humour. Her author home is sharonmackenzie.org.
